In celebration of the Museum of the Moon installation at Bunjil Place, Associate Professor of Cultural Astronomy Duane Hamacher from the University of Melbourne will discuss how the complex systems of knowledge about the Moon are encoded in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander traditions across Australia. From lunar phases and earthshine, to haloes, cusps, and eclipses, come and learn how these traditions reveal a deep understanding and development of science.
