Join Lola as she takes you through the types and techniques of writing poetry.

Suitable for young writers 9+.

Lola Sargasso has a lot to say. An emerging creative, her writing probes the limits of language and self-expression, infusing conventional literary structures with new significance. As a playwright, Lola has had her writing showcased with KXT and Arts Centre Melbourne, and her work as a poet has been featured with the Emerging Writers' Festival.

While at Nossal High School, Lola embraced her capacity for leadership, leading the Creative Writing Club to new heights and receiving the Disciplined Mind award. She currently studies at the University of Melbourne and acts as Company Manager for the Melbourne University Shakespeare Company.

Lola has a long history of collaboration with the City of Casey. She has read her poetry at Bunjil Place, speaking with the Emerging Writers' Festival, and was once nominated for Casey Youth Citizen of the Year. A long-time resident of Casey, Lola is delighted to give back to her community in any way she can.
