Refugee Week Storytime- Bunjil Place Library

Event Description

Join us for a special storytime at Bunjil Place Library in acknowledgement of Refugee Week 2022.

In the spirit of this year's theme: Healing, we will be hearing from storyteller and advocate Manu Kailom who's personal story of asylum has been lovingly turned into a picture story that incorporates significant imagery from his homeland of West Papua.

Manu has contributed so much to supporting asylum seekers in Australia, especially those escaping discriminatory practices against LGBTQIA+ peoples. His story is one of sadness but also hope.
