Bunjil Place Library
Give your clothing unique flair and a new lease on life by learning mending techniques that can prolong the life of your garments in this series of three workshops.
Workshop one will cover basic skills that come in handy for everyday repairs, including sewing on buttons, repairing a hem and using ladder stitch.
Workshop two will cover patching, including using embroidery hoops, needles and threads, iron on interfacing, and visible mending.
Workshop 3 will cover darning, including traditional and alternative darning techniques to repair socks, jeans, linen and more.
Suitable for beginners, all materials will be provided. For age 16 years and over.
Following the workshops, Bunjil Place Library is launching a monthly Mending Club on the fourth Tuesday of the month, starting in October.
This event has concluded. It's a little too late to make a booking!
